Ville de Lausanne
A ‘Swiss’ font for a Swiss city. Simple, rational, legible. But also warm and welcoming.
Collaboration with Anthony Franklin and David Moret, Base Design Geneva.

The coat of arms of the city of Lausanne is made of one third wight, two thirds green. This proportion is the basis of the typeface, in which x height equal two thirds of capital height. All terminals of letters are also based on divisions by three.
A large set of arrows complete each weight of the family.
Available in three weights (with their respective italics), the Lausanne custom font can compose all European languages using Latin script, and a few others.
