Optical support for a signage Sans Serif font.
Collaboration with Juliette Cheval, Polygraphik, Lille.

A digital font is, at the same type, a piece of design and a software. For this signage font, a light Sans based on classical proportions, Nonpareille provided support for cleaning shapes, balancing spaces, optical corrections, consistency within the fonts and throughout the three-styles family.

White: original design. Orange: corrected design. Stronger shoulder for ‘g’, softer bow and shorter outer stroke for ‘a’, equal stems and lighter connexion for ‘n’ are parts of the improvements.
